Garfield Elementary is a caring, bilingual school where students learn in English and Spanish and build skills to succeed in school and beyond. We focus on academic growth, social-emotional learning, and community pride. Our teachers build strong relationships with students and families to support each child’s success. During Women's History Month, we honor the local trailblazers who shaped our city and the incredible women leading our schools today. From campuses named after civic heroes like Sojourner Truth and Edna Brewer, to our current students making history in athletics and educators leading academics, women's leadership is at the heart of OUSD.
