Academic Parent Teacher Teams (APTT)
Garfield teachers and staff know how important it is for families and teachers to meet frequently in order to keep track of our student's progress throughout the school year.
At Garfield we host 5 meetings with teachers and families during the school year:
- August: One-to-One conferences to "get to know" your student's classroom teacher and discuss goals for the school year.
- October: All parents/guardians from your student's classroom meet with the teacher to discuss academic progress of students and plan for next steps to continue growth.
- December: One-to-One Report Card conferenes with your student's classroom teacher.
- February: All parents/guardians from your student's classroom meet with the teacher again to discuss your student's academic progress since the last meeting and plan for the rest of the school year.
- March: One-to-One Report Card conferenes with your student's classroom teacher.
**All conferences have translators available.
Please make sure to attend these meetings as they are vital for teachers to be able to help your student grow throughout the school year.
