Parent Action Team
A team of parents and teachers that engage in cycles of action and inquiry that use parent voice to identify school improvement areas and develop plans for implementing school improvements.

English Language Advisory Council (ELAC)
ELAC is an acronym for the English Language Advisory Council.
ELAC is an advisory board that makes decisions on Garfield's English Language program and funds that support that program. This council is made up mostly of parents, a teacher representative, and the principal. This council meets once a month in Room 210.
African American Advisory Council (AAAC)
AAAC is an acronym for the African American Advisory Council.
AAAC is an advisory board that focuses on the academic and social emotional growth of Garfield's African American student population. This council is made up mostly of parents, a teacher representative, and the principal. This council meets once a month in Room 210.
